What is research impact?
Research impact is where research makes a demonstrable contribution beyond academia, for example to society, the economy, culture, health, the environment or people's quality of life.
Possible examples include:
- Developing or changing the debate in your field
- Influencing regional or national policy
- Creating partnerships with business, organisations, charities, communities or key stakeholders
- Engaging cultural institutions or the media to effectively communicate the outcomes of your research
