How can I scan a document so that I can have it read back to me by the computer?
Both TextHelp Read & Write and ClaroRead software can be used to scan printed documents and convert them into Microsoft Word or PDF documents. See the Library website Software page for more information, including tutorials.
Once scanned, you can use TextHelp Read & Write or ClaroRead software to have the document read back to you.
You can also have scanned documents converted to various formats including Microsoft Word, PDF and audio using SensusAccess.
Assistive software workshops are also available - please register your interest.
