Can I get my work proofread?

The University does not provide a proofreading service for students. Guidance on how to proofread your own work is available on the Skills for Learning website. You can also bring along a short example of previously submitted academic work to an academic skills appointment and we will work with you to identify any common writing issues.

You need to be careful if you ask someone else to proofread your work, as this can often cross a line where they edit or change your words, which is a form of collusion and not permitted. If you are in any doubt, speak to one of your module tutors or request an appointment with the Library Academic Support Team for advice on how to approach editing and proofreading.
