How should I record a podcast in Symplectic, and how does it link to my impact record?

Podcasts can be recorded in different ways in Symplectic depending on their purpose:

Option 1 – Interview on a podcast
If you were interviewed on a podcast (for example, as a guest discussing your research), record it under Professional Activities.
Click Professional Activities → + Add new → Media coverage, and include as much information as possible.

Option 2 – Producing or hosting a podcast
If you run or produce a podcast to share your own research findings, record it as a Research Output.
Click Research Ouputs → + Add new → Film, digital or visual media. You can also deposit the podcast file (e.g., MP3 or another audio format) in this record to make it available in the repository.

Linking to your impact record
If the podcast contributes to impact, reference it within your impact record by adding a new entry under List of activities/events.
After saving, click Create new relationship and link it to the podcast record you created (either the Professional Activity or Research Output).

If you haven’t deposited the podcast file under Research Outputs, you can instead attach it as Supporting Evidence in your impact record.
