Why can't I connect my Windows device to eduroam any more?

As our Wi-Fi network is updated during the year you may have problems re-connecting to eduroam, please follow the steps below to reconnect your device.

The following steps are for Windows 10 devices (mobile and laptop):

  • You need to forget the old network to enable connection to the new service.
    • To forget the network, please go to Start Menu > Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi > Manage WiFi Settings
    • Under the ‘Manage known networks’ list, select ‘eduroam’. Click ‘Forget’.
  • Then follow these steps to re-connect to eduroam.

The steps are generally the same for older versions of Windows (7 or 8).

  • The key steps are:
    • Go to Settings (or Control Panel).
    • Select the Networks & Internet (or Network and Sharing Center) option.
    • Find the ‘Manage known networks’ list.
    • Forget any eduroam network listed.
  • Then follow these steps to re-connect to eduroam.
