How do I connect my Chromebook to eduroam?

Accessing the wireless networks on the Chrome desktop is the same as Apple computers:

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi signal icon on the desktop bar
  2. Select eduroam from the list of available networks
  3. Once you’ve clicked on eduroam the following should appear. Please set the settings to:

SSID: eduroam, EAP method: PEAP, Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2, Server CA certificate: Do not check, User certificate: None installed, Identity: c1234567@leedsbeckett.ac.uk, Password: ***********, Anonymous identity: [LEAVE BLANK], Save identity and password: Box should be ticked, Share this network with other users: Box should be unticked.

  1. The Server CA certificate needs changing to 'Do Not Check' instead of 'Default'.
  2. If this does not work in this instance, please fill in the anonymous identity with

    anon@leedsbeckett.ac.uk and try again.

  3. It is also worth restarting the machine after forgetting the network if it is still not connecting.
