TurnItIn will not accept PDF files which do not contain highlightable text for example: a "scanned" file, which is often simply a picture of text. 

Solution:

You will need to save your file electronically as a PDF.

You can add any additional pages to the PDF using the green Insert Page icon in Adobe Acrobat Pro, on any University PC.
