How do I add items to Mendeley?
Try the easy option first by using the web importer button with any database or website. Downloading the web importer for your browser allows you to import papers, web pages and other documents directly into your reference library. When using this, check to see if it captures PDFs as you may need to manually add these.
Some databases like Emerald and ScienceDirect work well with the web importer. Simply open a PDF and click your web importer button and Mendeley will capture the citation and PDF instantly.
For other databases you must export or download the .Ris file, and then download the PDF and upload these to Mendeley. You can also manually enter items easily.
