How do I use the EndNote Word Citation plug-in?

Download the Cite While You Write plug-in to insert references and format citations and bibliographies automatically while you write your papers in Word.

From Endnote online go to Downloads and download either for Windows or Mac. Once you have installed the Word Citation plug-in you can quickly insert citations and generate a bibliography in alphabetical order and in the correct style in any Word document. In EndNote Online/Web click on Downloads in the top menu and choose Cite While You Write.

Open Word. The EndNote tab should now show on the ribbon menu on the top. Search for the style Harvard LeedsBeckett 2021. If you cannot see it just click Select another style at the top of the drop-down list. If you need to install it to the desktop version it is available in this FAQ: Where can I find the EndNote Harvard Leeds Beckett style?

If you have the EndNote Desktop program, the plug-in automatically installs when you install the program and the tab in Word should be visible when you next open Word.
