How do I scan multiple pages to a single PDF document?

Scanning multiple pages to a single PDF document is a good option if you would like an electronic copy of a journal article, book chapter or form.

If you are scanning a copy of a journal article or book chapter, please check the Copyright Guidelines and CLA Licence for regulations on copying.

  1. Go to any printer and sign in using your campus card or username and password. When your name appears on the screen, select Scan, then Scan to My Email or Scan to OneDrive.

  2. Place the first page on the glass plate. Place it face down, portrait orientation, flush to the top left corner.

    • If using the document feeder instead, please remove any staples.

  3. You can change the file name. You can change the email subject if scanning to email.

  4. You can select Change settings to make it double-sided, change the file type (it is automatically PDF), paper size, colour settings, paper orientation, and DPI.

  5. Select Start

  6. It will display 1 page scanned when successful. Select Scan next page to scan another page into the same PDF document. Scan new document will scan the next page into a separate file.
