What is “Tell me what you want to do” and how do I use it?

What it does

"Tell me what you want to do" helps you to find features and tools in Microsoft Office. For example, when you want to change the line spacing in the Word document but can’t remember where to click on the toolbar, you could type “line spacing” into the “Tell me what you want to do” box to be taken straight to the line spacing tool, or to look up help on how to use it.

How to use it

“Tell me what you want to do” works in all versions of Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) including desktop, online, iOS, Android and Windows Mobile.

For full instructions on how to use it go to the Microsoft page Do things quickly with Tell Me. Click on the platform you are using (Windows, Web, MacOS etc.) to get the relevant instructions.
