The Discover link to an eBook isn't working, how can I access?

If you find a link to an eBook that isn't working (a dead link, with no error message), you might instead be able to gain access direct from the suppliers database.

You'll need to find the name of the supplier, to do this please click 'Access Online':

Take note of the eBook supplier, eg 'Askews and Holts VLEbooks' below:

Then search the A-Z Databases for the supplier, the two main eBook suppliers to try are:

  • 'Askews and Holts VLEbooks' search for 'VLEbooks'
  • 'ProQuest Ebook Central Provider' search for 'Ebook Central'

Once in the new platform, search for the book and you should gain access - contact us if not.
