Which search indexes are best to use in Advanced Search?

There are many choices in the Advanced Search search index:

 

 

We recommend using any combination of:

  • Keyword (the default search term for standard Discover searching)
  • Title
  • Author

in conjunction with the AND, OR, NOT options

Please note the Full Text and Full text only indexes aren't working correctly, and there is no difference in the results if employing 'Keyword' or 'Keyword plus full text'.

We also recommend using quotation marks for phrase searching.
