What are eBooks?

eBooks are digital versions of print books which can be viewed online, or downloaded, in whole or in chapters for use on computers, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.

You can search for eBooks the university has access to via the library’s Discover tool.

Or see a video for help on searching Discover for eBooks.

For more information about university eBooks please see our eBooks page.

Are Library eBooks different to the eBooks I can buy from an online store?

Yes. Unlike eBooks you buy from an online store (e.g. Amazon) the content is available to you on a temporary basis for a specific period of time.
