How do I identify a phishing email?
Phishing emails are not all the same but they may contain some of the following:
- Poor spelling or grammar
- Asking for personal information
- Asking you to click on a link
- A sense of urgency for you to act immediately
- Generic greetings
If you still aren't sure about the email, you can also email the organisation or person the email is supposed to be from (do not reply to the possible phishing email) to confirm if they sent it.
