The Blackboard Learn App allows you to access your MyBeckett Modules and Course Communities on mobile devices.

To download the app, please choose your device’s operating system from the list below:

Get started with the Blackboard Learn App

Search for Blackboard Learn App in your device's app store.

Blackboard Learn App (MyBeckett)

Once downloaded, input 'Leeds Beckett University' for the school name and continue with Web Login button (this means it will open MyBeckett log in page in your browser).

The MyBeckett web login page will prompt you to login.

If you use the Microsoft Authenticator App, it is a good idea to open this first.

Click Login.

  1. Log in with your standard username (Your student ID: C number) and password.
  2. Complete your MFA verification, if you use the Microsoft Authenticator App it may take a few attempts, you can try open up the app first and use a 'one time code' to verify or follow this FAQ on alternative sign in options.
  3. Once verified the Blackboard Learn App will open, to continue, accept the Blackboard Terms of Use.

Navigating the Blackboard Learn App

  1. The terminology is different to the browser view of MyBeckett, the first area to open is the same, taking you to the Institution Portal page for Helpful Links cards.
  2. Stream (Activity Stream) shows your updates and news from the University, modules and communities.  To ensure you do not miss any updates you can personalise your notifications including push notifications to your app.
  3. Courses is your modules.  Your modules will look a bit different than they do in your desktop/mobile browser, but you should be able to easily navigate to your course materials and course content.
  4. Most features are available in the app but we also recommend using the browser via Chrome if you feel you are not able to see any content.
