Accessible entrance

Access is from the side entrance of the James Graham Building, opposite Campus Central. There is a ramp and automatic (push-button) door. See AccessAble for further details on the accessible entrance (outside access). There are several sets of manually operated doors on the way to the Library. 

Access to the Library is via turnstiles, or an automatic gate for anyone who cannot access the turnstiles. See AccessAble for further details on the Library entrance. You may need to check in with Library Reception.

Lift

There is a lift located to the rear left of the Library. See the AccessAble guide to the Headingley Library lift for further details.

Toilets

The accessible toilet is on the first floor near the lift. You do not need a code or key to open the door. See the AccessAble guide to the Headingley Library Accessible Toilet First Floor for further details.

Height adjustable desks

These are available throughout the libraries to assist users with mobility difficulties.

• Electric desks have buttons under the front edge of the desk to control the height.
• Manual desks are operated using a crank handle on the front of the desk. If you need assistance please ask Library staff.

There are also two short videos demonstrating how to adjust the height of electric and crank handle desks.
