Can I submit more than one file for my Blackboard assignment in an Ultra Module?
Ultra is the new view of MyBeckett modules, if your module does not look like the instructions below then please refer to our MyBeckett Original module instructions on how to submit more than one file for my Blackboard assignment.
This FAQ is only for submitting Blackboard assignments, you cannot submit more than one file to Turnitin.
You can submit multiple files to a Blackboard assignment by uploading them individually or all at once following these methods:
1. From your computer
2. From your OneDrive (Cloud storage)
3. Uploading a zip folder
When you have decided how you would like to upload your files, select your assignment and 'View instructions' to begin. This will show any instructions and the submission area.
Method 1: From your computer individually
- Click into the text editor field. You can type into the editor directly, drag and drop a file into the area or use the text editor attachment functionality to attach a file. To attach a file, click the paperclip icon. Locate the file you want to attach and click Open. You then need to click Save to confirm the file upload. If you have selected the wrong file you can click the bin icon to remove it.
- You can then repeat this process for multiple files. All uploaded files will appear in the text box, where you can preview or remove any uploaded files. Then click Submit when you are ready to upload your files.
Method 2: OneDrive (cloud storage) - recommended for large files
Ensure your files are uploaded into your student OneDrive before you begin
- When you are ready to submit your files open the Submission inbox and select the insert content symbol
- Select Cloud Storage from the drop down menu
- Then select OneDrive, if prompted log in with your student email credentials
- Choose multiple files at once by holding down the shift key and click the files (NB: you cannot upload a folder) alternatively, choose them individually and add more by repeating this step. When you have finished attaching files, click Submit at the bottom of the page to make the submission.
Method 3: Upload from Computer Folder as a Zip File
To upload a ZIP file
- Click on the paperclip symbol. Locate and click on the ZIP file, then click Open. You then need to select Save to complete the file upload. You will then see that MyBeckett adds the ZIP file to the Attached Files list. Now click Submit at the bottom of the page to make the submission
*Note: If you are submitting through Turnitin, you will not be able to submit multiple files or zip folders.
