Can I submit more than one file for my Blackboard assignment?

This FAQ is about submitting Blackboard assignments only. (Turnitin assignments do not allow multiple file submissions).

You can submit multiple files to a Blackboard assignment by uploading them individually or all at once by following one of these methods:

  1. from your computer or
  2. from your OneDrive (Cloud Storage) or
  3. putting your files into a ZIP folder.

Method 1: From your computer individually

  1. When you have decided what you will do, go into your assignment and click Upload Files then choose Browse Local Files.

  1. To upload individually: Locate and click on your first file, then click Open. You will then see that MyBeckett adds your file to the Attached Files List just below where you clicked on Browse Local Files. Repeat this process for each file you want to submit, then click Submit at the bottom of the page to make the submission.

Method 2: Cloud Storage - recommended for large files (*all students have 1TB OneDrive storage)

Ensure your files are uploaded in your student OneDrive before you begin. (Quick access to this is via the Student IT card in MyBeckett and upload your folders and files).

  1. When you are ready in the assignment submission inbox click Upload Files and then choose Browse Cloud Service.

  1. Then click on OneDrive, if prompted sign in with your student email credentials.

  1. Choose multiple files at once by holding down the shift key and click the files (NB: you cannot upload a folder) alternatively, choose them individually and add more by repeating this step. When you have finished attaching files, click Submit at the bottom of the page to make the submission.

Method 3: Upload from Computer Folder as a Zip File

To upload a ZIP file: Locate and click on the ZIP file, then click Open. You will then see that MyBeckett adds the ZIP file to the Attached Files list just below where you clicked on Browse Local Files. Now click Submit at the bottom of the page to make the submission.

*NOTE: If you are submitting through Turnitin, you will not be able to submit multiple files or zip folders
