This FAQ is for students who require offline access to learning material on MyBeckett.
Downloading for viewing offline when unable to connect to the internet, for example: at work, commuting and/or have limited access to the internet).
Compatible Devices: mobile phone and tablets.
While you are online do these steps:
1. Download the Blackboard App by following this FAQ: How do I download the Blackboard App to view MyBeckett module content on a mobile device?
2. Log in to the Blackboard App while connected to the internet - you will be required to verify using Multifactor Authentication (MFA).
3. Go to your module content area via the Blackboard app (note: Module = Course and Organisations = Communities) and select the content you want to download.
4. Now turn off your WiFi/data - the quickest way is to use Aeroplane Mode to appear offline.#
5. Locate the three dots more and select Offline Content and Download icon.
Quick Tips:
- To ensure latest content is available when you are offline: Use the Auto-Sync tool to automatically download files when connected to the internet.
- Select WiFi only to protect your phone data.
- Take into account the file size and your storage allowance for your device. You may need to free up space.
Things to note:
In Ultra modules and communities, only Word and PDF files are downloadable for offline viewing.
