How do I connect my MacBook, iPhone or iPad to eduroam?

Logging your Apple device into eduroam allows you to access our fast, encrypted wireless network for students.  Follow these instructions to connect.

How do I connect my iPhone or iPad?

  1. Select Settings and then Wi-Fi.
  2. Find eduroam in the list of available networks.
  3. Your username is in the following format: e.g. c1234567@leedsbeckett.ac.uk 
  4. The password is the one you use to log in to MyBeckett or a university PC.

How do I connect my MacBook?

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar.
  2. Find eduroam in the list of available networks.
  3. Your username is in the following format: e.g. c1234567@leedsbeckett.ac.uk
  4. The password is the one you use to log in to MyBeckett or a university PC.

Once your device has connected to eduroam you should only need to reconnect every 9 months when your university password expires.

What if I can not connect to Eduroam?

  1. General Eduroam connecting advice.
  2. If you have previously been connected to Eduroam and are unable to connect please forget the network and reconnect. How to forget a Wi-Fi network on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac.
  3. Make sure you are able to log in to MyBeckett. If you are having trouble with this also, it may be that you require a password reset and you can contact us.
